Andrew's First day of Kindergarten!!!

Andrew was SO excited this morning to go to Kindergarten!!
Notice his cheek? He fell off of his bike and got a puffy cheek, bruise and scab- I guess that will make him look really tough for Kindergarten???
Granny bought him a NEW (from the store-with hangers and everything) outfit for school- Spider man, Wolverine, and Thore!!! He was feeling super cool!
And he LOVES his backpack- Bob the builder.....Hopefully he will think his lunch is cool, I kinda kept that a surprise. He has a Cars lunch box with "sports" sandwich Tupperware and water bottle and toy story fruit snacks!!!
Last night we read a SPECIAL "Going to school" book and this morning (since we woke up at 6:30) I pulled out a special Curious George "going to school" movie!

I cannot believe how big he is....he didn't even want me to walk him to class, he knew just where is was and how to get there, I'm excited for him- I wish I could have a hidden camera to watch!

V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N

WARNING- complete overload of pictures- Do NOT continue unless you want a play-by-play of our entire vacation!
Here we go.... ready to leave! Did you notice we bought a new Van- Yep Toyota Sienna, we LOVE it!
We drove after Malachi got off work and went strait to the Able's house... we LOVED playing with cousins, jumping on the trampoline, and chatting with them!
That night we went to their friend's BBQ there was 10 boys for Andrew to run around with, but only one girl, so Mallory and her were best buds for the evening!
The next day we went to the Elementary school to play on the toys...
And to play soccer- Andrew was playing HARD and was really hot and sweaty!
Mallory just ran around chasing the Ball- my kind of girl!
Then we went to the local YMCA and swam in the pool to cool off!
The kids LOVED the lazy river- And Malachi too!
They are really becoming brave in the water: putting their heads under and everything- maybe we will do swimming lessons next summer!
 Mallory loved the pool!
Then we did a little shopping and went out to dinner at TOMATO STREET! Super yummy!

After that we went to Evan's soccer game.....

Vacation Part2

The next day we woke up early and entertained ourselves until everyone else got out of bed...Mallory was playing with the Nerf gun and thought she was pretty cute...I guess I have to agree!
Then we played more, jumped on the trampoline and then got ready to go....
We went to a really fun Park downtown- with like 4-5 bridges across the river
There was a funny "Goat" there that ate your garbage- the kids thought this was GREAT
For some reason Malachi thought it was a good idea to get into the water, but almost fell in because the rocks were so slippery!
This was REALLY cool...A GIANT Radio Flyer wagon- see how little the people are, the handle is a slide and under the wagon there are monkey bars!
So fun- but the metal was really HOT- Mallory got her leg burned!
We walked around a bit more, climbed on some walls, played! It was so much fun in Spokane! Thanks guys for letting us stay at your house!
Then we said good-bye and made our way to Montana...along the way we stoped at some shops...
This is the "Silver Dollar Restaurant and Gift shop"- lots of fun stuff to look at!
We stayed at a Hotel that night, swam in the pool and ate breakfast (none of which I apparently got pictures of) and set off the next morning headed towards the Haney's House!
We stoped and shopped along the way- This is in front of a mall, beautiful flowers!
And Andrew (of course) LOVED anything Lego! So this was his favorite!
At one of the malls we stoped at there was this fun train in the children's area so we played for awhile (I love the way Mallory is sticking her head out the window)

Vacation Part3

After we got the the Haney's there was a lot of Bike riding, playing, and more playing!
All the kids got along so well and were perfectly happy to just PLAY all day long together!
We did sneak away to go visit a park the first night we got there, to get some energy out so we could go to sleep!
Andrew is pretty much and expert climber!
The next day was Sunday we we kept it pretty quiet... we to church and went to Aunt Dawn's after for dinner! We all had so much fun at their house, playing and hiding!
Then when we woke up the next morning we needed to play some more- I think here Sydney is the "mom", Treyson is the "baby" and Mallory is the "Puppy"? I am not sure they all change so much!
We played a really fun game called "build a tower super high before Cole comes over and knocks is down"
Then we went to the Idaho Falls ZOO (our favorite place)  Apparently we are a bunch of posers!
The zoo itself was kinda small and not MANY interesting animals- but we had a BLAST going with Sydney, Treyson, Cole...Oh and Auntie Emma too!
There Turtles were my favorite part- they are seriously the size of a semi-TRUCK tire!
The kids thought EVERYTHING was cool- but they really wanted to see the Alligator!
Then of course we were SUPER hungry after that and had to go out to eat- Lucky ducks!
Treyson and Cole needed to go home and take a nap so the Haney's went home and we went shopping....

Vacation Part4

After we left the Haney's we did a little bit of shopping in Idaho Falls
This was (of course) at the mall- they thought it was fun!
After we were completely exhausted from a long day of zoo, lunch and shopping I surprised everyone with a trip to a "Fun Zone" where we all went Go-Kart racing!
The 4 of us raced once and Andrew and Malachi went again!
So Mallory chose a different activity-these were really fun little boats in about 2 ft of water!
So the next day we went the other direction over to Rexburg and played at the Spray park!
Admittedly is is MUCH cooler than the spray parks around here- the kids LOVED the slides and Treyson even got his head wet- a little!
Even better is that the spray park had a carousel- How could we pass that up!
All the kids chose their Favorite Horses and rode around having the BEST time!
We had a great time at the park- then (as you know) Treyson and Cole needed naps so they went home and we did some shopping in Rexburg!
The next morning we woke up early pack up and said good bye to the Haney's....Thanks for letting us camp out in your living room- we will miss you Sydney, Treyson and Cole- no growing until we see you again okay?

Then we headed to UTAH....

Vacation Part5

As soon as we got into Salt lake we had lunch and went to Temple Square
We walked around and then went in to get a tour of the Conference center....is was amazing, beautiful artwork, huge building really a fun tour for us, but it was a little long for the kids.
This is on the roof of the conference center and when you look at it is shows your reflection with the other people etched in it!
And here is the view from the other side- the beautiful Salt lake Temple!
The kids loved the temple and there were a few brides around the temple grounds so we got to talk about Temple marriage.
This is at the Visitors center and Grandma Inman told them to find it when they were on vacation so they were so pleased with themselves and wanted to call her right away to tell them they had seen it.
One of the things they said about the conference center is that Gordon B. Hinkley requested that they seats be VERY comfortable- Here are the seats in the Tabernacle, can you imagine sitting on those hard wooden seats for 4 hours????
This was at another visitors center- a cut away of the temple and all it's rooms

Downstairs there were Tons of dioramas with videos with everything from scripture stories to the importance of the family- I could have spent ALL DAY there looking at everything, but after 3 hours the kids were antsy and wanted to go something more interactive...
