whats happenin'

There has been a LOT going on...We have been busy....
Andrew and Mallory had their "Well Child Check" and they are both doing great!
We didn't even have to have shots- we got the flu shot Up the nose!
Just Hanging out in the Car waiting for Daddy to get here so we can do some shopping and go out to eat!
ANY sun break the kids want to go OUTSIDE...
Mallory is getting good at riding a bike, I think the training wheels are coming off this summer
Last Saturday Mallory was invited to a birthday party- luckily Sister Marini was there too and played with Mallory in the FOAM PIT, while I held the baby.
We also have just been playing in the playroom...I hope the sun comes out soon!
We've been spending lots of time at DSHS- Mallory has been very patient.
Yesterday we felt like we needed to spend time with ALL 5 of us...the past week and a half we have kind of divided, "you take care of the kids", "I take care of the baby", Okay "Switch", "you sleep", "Okay now you sleep"

So we went to a play place- the kids played HARD and had a blast!

It's been a week!

SO MUCH has happened this week, I cannot share ALL of it, but here is a short summery, so that you kinda know whats going on...
So last Sunday a lady in my ward came and talked to me about her daughters situation. She explained that he daughter had a baby on February 20th and was not able to take care of it, so they had thought of me and asked if we would take custody of the baby for a time....

Heavenly Father works in strange ways. But after MUCH prayer, thought and discussion we knew it was the right thing to do for our family. So Monday morning I was on the phone with social workers, Tuesday I was filling out paperwork and cleaning my house and by Wednesday we had a home visit and were all cleared. Thursday we went to court and were granted custody of this precious baby.

He came home with us Thursday and he is such an amazing little boy. We have been enjoying every moment with him, holding him, feeding him, even changing his diaper is great! Since we are not sure how long he will be here we are just cherishing every moment.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday I had a cold, but since all this was happening I really didn't have time to get sick. Thursday I felt terrible but I figured it was stress, emotions and everything. Then after he came home Malachi and I were not getting any sleep, and I was really dragging, but I assumed it was lack of sleep. Sunday morning I felt Awful, but I was suppose to teach sharing time, Malachi had two lessons to teach, so we sucked it up and went to church- (now to the embarrassing part) So in the middle of sacrament I started to feel really bad and needed to go to the bathroom...I got up and was almost to the back then everything went black....I somehow got into the entryway and feel down, hit the garbage can and laid on the floor.... Malachi took me home and my mom came over and helped out with the kids and stuff while I slept....

As I am sure all new moms know, it takes a little bit of an adjustment to conform to a infants sleep schedule- that combined with a very active 5 and 6 year old, plus getting sick on top of it all, my body just didn't have as much strength as I thought- Thank you EVERYONE for all your help, clothes, meals and everything I really appreciate it! I think we are on the upswing...at least I hope!
