Cub Scout Camp

This week Andrew and I went to cub scout camp! This was my first year as cub master and since I needed to be there all 4 days Andrew got to come too, even though he still has 2 months before he turns 8!
I was in charge of 12 right year old boys, we had a really fun time, but I was exhausted after camp each day!
We did BB guns, chess, archery, history, geology, map and compass, woodworking, leather working, painting.....
We made helmets and swords and shields, we learned about flag ceremonies, played soccer, field hockey and ultimate frisbee...
Andrews BB gun aim improved throughout the week....you can't see but 4 out of his 5 shots are in the black!
We even had a falconer come during lunch one day. He brought his red tailed hawk to show us, the boys thought it was amazing!

it was a long week, but Andrew had a fun time

Friday Malachi got up and went to work, but we had both forgotten that he had taken Friday off
so he came home and we had a family day, went out to lunch...
 and mini golfing

then out for ice cream... Mallory is Unikitty (from the Lego movie)

Matchmaker, matchmaker make me a match....

We started off this week going to Malachi'.s work party. It's the first one we've gone to, even though he's worked there for 6 years because they don't normally invite kids!
We had a great time, super yummy food catered from Dickies BBQ, snowcone machine, a bouncy house, and a spray (dunk) tank! It was at a park that had regular park toys and was right on the beach!  it was fun to talk to all the men Malachi works with and put faces with names!
Mallory started swim lessons this week!
a lady in our ward hosted a music day camp for a bunch of the kids and invited Mallory!
after their camp all the kids did a little performance! It was super cute!

then when Mallory came home all she wanted to do was sing and play her Kazoo
besides that we spent a lot of time around the house playing, making messes and having a good time!
I love how Crazy Andrew looks in this picture!
on Saturday we went garage saling all day and then dropped the kids off at grandma and grandpa Swifts house for a sleepover (thank you so much) and Malachi and I went on a kid free real date!
We hit a few more garage sales, shopped at value village then went to the main stage theatre in Sumner to see Fiddler on the roof. It was an awesome production, and we both really enjoyed it! Then after that we had a late night dinner and did some more shopping. It was so nice to spend time with each other! We went for a walk, we talked, got ice cream.....I'm so happy that we got to celebrate yesterday because today is our 7 year anniversary!
I love this man with all my heart and am so happy to be his wife. These past 7 years have not exactly been easy for us, but they have also been filled with immeasurable joy and hope. I look forward to the future, I think the next 7 years will be better than ever!

Vacation week!!

Malachi was off work all week, but not for a real vacation he was home recovering from a little procedure, and I was really sick this week so we spent a lot of time sitting around doing nothing.
When we needed an outing we would run a few errands, do some shopping....while we were out we ran into Anna and Christoff!

one of the days we went to go see "How to train your Dragon 2". I loved the first one and was a little disappointed by the story plot of the second one. But the animation was incredible, they maintained the integrity of the character development, and it was fun to go see a movie with the family.
Since Malachi was off we wanted to spend some time with Spencer. Then we went on a little road trip to Squeim.
First stop was the Oak table with super yummy breakfast! Then a bit of shopping around town. After that we went to Dungeness spit. We only did the mile hike, not the 11 miles so we did not get to see the lighthouse, maybe next time!
We did explore the beach a bit and see Canada!
Our next adventure was the Olympic game farm! We had lots of fun feeding the animals!
And seeing the lions, Tiggers and Bears! Oh my!!

A compleatly fun little get away! Saturday we left the boys at home and Mallory and I went and got the car washed (there was zebra slobber on it from the game farm) went to a few garage sales and went out to lunch! It was lots of fun, just us girls!!

Biking, birthdays, red white and Blue!

Malachi had his first bike race last week! He only did 12 miles since it was his first one, he will probubly do 30 miles next year!
in order to keep some ballance in our lives we did a little bit of community service by picking up garbage on the side of the road.
and  of course Andrew had soccer!
Our favorite boy Spencer came to visit us a few days this week!
It's been nice this week so we spent a lot of time playing in the pool!
We met our cousins and went to the $1 movies!! Then went out to lunch for auntie Manda's birthday!
After lunch we went over to the Chappells to play in their pool! The kids had too much fun.
Thursday we hung around the house, went for a walk, and really didn't do much.
that night we went to Elisa and Jeremy's house to celebrate his graduation and birthday. There were tons of kids, but Mallory mostly played with the puppy!
Friday was 4th of July. It's independence day AND Malachis birthday. We started off with presents.
then we went to Dennys for a yummy birthday breakfast.
We were so happy that Grandma Swift could come celebrate with us.
and Talitha and David came too!
after breakfast we went to Eatonville for the 4th of July parade. I know I'm kinda bias, but I'm pretty sure we had the cutest kids there!
for Malachis happy birthday we decided to go camping!

We had lots of fun paying around the camp site! On the barell swing.
 swinging on the rope swing...
 crossing the monkey bridge...

and swimming in the freezing water! After that my camera died, but we shot arrows, played frisbee, and watched fireworks. In the morning we cleaned up camp, and went to Cabellas, went to a few garage sales and ended up at Sparks deli for dinner!
