Portland, partys, and playing!

So these really could be three different posts..however I am not a very good picture taker, so here are the highlights….


This weekend we drove down to Portland for an Adoption class (Remember…we are adopting, Are you passing out your pass along cards?) It was a really good class and I learned a lot and it was fun to talk to people who are going through the same struggles! Anyways since we had to drive all the way down there we decided to make a vacation out of it…we went down Friday morning and shopped (no tax you know) and ate, had our class on Saturday and came home! Malachi and I have hardly had a real vacation since our Honeymoon, This was really fun!

So as you know Sunday was Fathers day (Happy Fathers day to all) but it was ALSO My mother-in-law’s Jacquelyn’s Birthday and my brother-in –law Isaac’s Birthday and my nephew Tucker’s Birthday is today…So we had a BIG old Swift Party and LOTS of presents!

Our last announcement (which you probably do not care, however is VERY exciting to us) We got a new Wii! After years of negotiating, me being resentful of ALL the video games, we finally decided to sell all of our old stuff and upgrade…I am so glad we did, This thing is SO fun, You should come over and play with us sometime!

What should we do today?

Among other particularly exciting we know how to keep our guests entertained…Emma taught Amanda, Courtney and I how to make her version of Homemade bread. Apparently Court is a natural born bread Goddess, mine looked a little like Goo…but ended up tasting alright!
We also like to play with buttons….sort them…put them in baggies….find different colors….pick them up…dump them into buckets...you know, fun stuff!

Really our week has consisted of…taking care of kids, eating snacks, taking baths, naps, playing, playing, playing, and playing some more! We know how to have fun around here!

Wildlife Safari

While the Haney’s are here we are trying to pack their week with Fun adventures…Today’s adventure, going to Cabella’s for lunch! Yep, we really know how to have a fun time! Actually it was very cool, I had never been and all the animals were really interesting and the food was good….I didn’t really care about the merchandise, but hey, Sydney loved it!

Gretchen’s Wedding

We got to go to our cousin Gretchen’s wedding this weekend! She married a guy names Owen, He is a GREAT guy! I am so excited for them to start their married life together and wish them all the happiness in the world!

Audrey and Clara were Flower girls for the wedding and were BEAUTIFUL!!



Everyone had so much fun, dancing and eating and playing!

Tea Party

So in case you didn't know the Haneys are in town! (Wahoo) and my plans are to spend all the time I can with them...Starting with a Tea Party. Last night the boys had thier monthly Poker party, so us girls headed over to Amanda's for a Fancy-Nancy tea party. Apparently this is a Hat and Skirt kind of party! There was Lots of tinny cute yummy food and we were giggling at the girls the whole time!
