Grandpa Swift got a chainsaw from great grandpa Swift and let us Barrow it. We have a tree in our front yard that has been having a tough time. A few years ago an ice storm broke some branches, then last year we paid a company to top it so that it would grow back healthier, but it didn't really work.
So, Malachi decided to chop it down, you can kind of see a before picture behind Mallory riding her bike, then Malachi on a ladder using the chainsaw.
We decided to leave a stump so we wouldnt have to dig up all the roots and tear up the yard. I think it looks so much better already. There is already ivy growing around the base of the tree so our plan is to let it grow up the trunk and put one of those wooden black bears (from the fair) on the top to watch over our yard.

Baseball, baseball, and oh yeah BASEBALL!
Malachi attempted to make a bunt cake, but it turned out to be a pile of crumbs when he tried to get it out of the pan, oh well, put some frosting on it and eat it anyways!
This is Mallorys best friend Bonnie Jean! Bonnie is a boarder collie and is our friends dog and Mallory is loving playing with her!
Last week I helped in Andrews classroom and while I was there it was his turn to read a story to the class, he did such a great job, I am super pround of what an amazing reader he is.
and of course Baseball!! Andrew has 2 practices a week, plus 2 games, so we spend a lot of time waching baseball! he loves it and he is getting really good!
Mallory and I watching the game!
As part of the league's fundraiser everyone bought tickets to the Cal ripkin trainers game!
each team go to go on the field and have a parade before the game and the boy who sold the most tickets threw the opening pitch.
It was really raining, but fortunately we were under a covered part and had a fun time!
