Biking, birthdays, red white and Blue!

Malachi had his first bike race last week! He only did 12 miles since it was his first one, he will probubly do 30 miles next year!
in order to keep some ballance in our lives we did a little bit of community service by picking up garbage on the side of the road.
and  of course Andrew had soccer!
Our favorite boy Spencer came to visit us a few days this week!
It's been nice this week so we spent a lot of time playing in the pool!
We met our cousins and went to the $1 movies!! Then went out to lunch for auntie Manda's birthday!
After lunch we went over to the Chappells to play in their pool! The kids had too much fun.
Thursday we hung around the house, went for a walk, and really didn't do much.
that night we went to Elisa and Jeremy's house to celebrate his graduation and birthday. There were tons of kids, but Mallory mostly played with the puppy!
Friday was 4th of July. It's independence day AND Malachis birthday. We started off with presents.
then we went to Dennys for a yummy birthday breakfast.
We were so happy that Grandma Swift could come celebrate with us.
and Talitha and David came too!
after breakfast we went to Eatonville for the 4th of July parade. I know I'm kinda bias, but I'm pretty sure we had the cutest kids there!
for Malachis happy birthday we decided to go camping!

We had lots of fun paying around the camp site! On the barell swing.
 swinging on the rope swing...
 crossing the monkey bridge...

and swimming in the freezing water! After that my camera died, but we shot arrows, played frisbee, and watched fireworks. In the morning we cleaned up camp, and went to Cabellas, went to a few garage sales and ended up at Sparks deli for dinner!

Soccer, swimming and selfies!

Monday we went to the park and played with some friends, and apparently Mallory wanted to practice selfies! Later that night Andrew had his first soccer practice. He is in the green and yellow!
this is Mallory and I waiting I the car! After practice we had Family home evening and we talked about money, tithing and saving!

Tuesday we mostly just hung out at home, played with playdough, played dress up and took baths!

Wednesday we went to the library then we went swimming! The kids had so much fun!

Thursday we woke up early and Andrew helped me make cupcakes and we made the long drive to our friends house...they moved out of our ward a few years ago and we really miss them and wanted to see their new house, so my friend Kelly and I caravaned out there and we had a little reunion!

the kids played all day, and the mommas chatted, it was really fun!!
since we had a busy couple of day we decided to have another lazy day on Friday, we stayed home, did puzzles, watched the Lego movie, and did some chores!

Epic fail!

I did not reach my goal of taking one picture every day. I forgot on Monday, Tuesday I did better, and took a picture of their last day if school. Their first day is on the side of the blog, can you belive how much they grew? The rest of the week we were getting ready for the garage sale. Then on Sunday we got to hang out with most of the Swift family, we celebrated birthdays I'm  and Mallory made a new friend, her and Jerom were buds!
I'm going to try to do better this week!!

Schools almost over!

Monday after school we set up our pool!
Tuesday I got to go with Andrew's class on a field trip to the beach!
We had a wonderful time and the kids in my group were great.
Wednesday was a half day and it was warm outside so we swam in the pool and played outside.
Mallory had her graduation/music concert and was feeling very sassy in her outfit.
my two kids are so stinking cute!!
and of course Brucie wanted jump into the pictures too.
Mallory wore a funny paper graduation hat, and was strutting through the gym
She sang all the songs , but didn't want to do the aactions.
Friday was field day and I got to run the Indiana Jones obatical course, I was amazed by two things. How many kindergartens-2nd graders cannot tie their own shoes. And how many 3rd-5th graders cannot jump rope. But we had fun in the rain!

After school we went shopping a little bit too.

summer 2014

So my goal for myself for the summer us to try to take at least one picture every day and to do a blog post once a week. This week is off to a rocky start, buy I'll try again next week! First picture is the kids and I going to church!

the Haneys were in town this week so we spent a lot of time playing over at granny and grandpa's house.
Monday night we even had a party for Kate girl. All the cousins were they and we did a hay bail search  and pin the tail in the pig!
Tuesday night I had rain gutter regatta, the boys worked really hard on their boats and it went really well!
Andrew has had baseball 4 nights this week for hours and I have been feeling bad for Mallory so Ive been trying to give her individual attention....this day we painted her nails at practice! Andrew

Andrew went to the championship game for his baseball league. He didn't win, but he did amazing this season and had a wonderful time!

For great Grandpa Swift

Grandpa Swift got a chainsaw from great grandpa Swift and let us Barrow it. We have a tree in our front yard that has been having a tough time. A few years ago an ice storm broke some branches, then last year we paid a company to top it so that it would grow back healthier, but it didn't really work.
So, Malachi decided to chop it down, you can kind of see a before picture behind Mallory riding her bike, then Malachi on a ladder using the chainsaw.
We decided to leave a stump so we wouldnt have to dig up all the roots and tear up the yard. I think it looks so much better already. There is already ivy growing around the base of the tree so our plan is to let it grow up the trunk and put one of those wooden black bears (from the fair) on the top to watch over our yard.

Baseball, baseball, and oh yeah BASEBALL!

Malachi attempted to make a bunt cake, but it turned out to be a pile of crumbs when he tried to get it out of the pan, oh well, put some frosting on it and eat it anyways!
This is Mallorys best friend Bonnie Jean! Bonnie is a boarder collie and is our friends dog and Mallory is loving playing with her!
Last week I helped in Andrews classroom and while I was there it was his turn to read a story to the class, he did such a great job, I am super pround of what an amazing reader he is.
and of course Baseball!! Andrew has 2 practices a week, plus 2 games, so we spend a lot of time waching baseball! he loves it and he is getting really good!
Mallory and I watching the game!
As part of the league's fundraiser everyone bought tickets to the Cal ripkin trainers game!
each team go to go on the field and have a parade before the game and the boy who sold the most tickets threw the opening pitch.
It was really raining, but fortunately we were under a covered part and had a fun time!
