We went to court yesterday...and everything went great!!! It felt like it took a long time.....and there we So many delays....and so much paperwork

Andrew was really struggling, the social workers warned me about several issues. He was shy, withdrawn, anti-social and was WAY behind in school. His foster mom said he would not respond to her and he was VERY small for his age........ It has been amazing to see him blossom this year. Less than ONE WEEK!!!!!!

We are SO excited here at the Swift house!!!! The countdown is going and there is less than a week left!!! Unfortunately She has been REALLY sick....so we have been laying low, watching a lot of movies and trying to get her feeling better- I'm sure by Friday she will be fine!
We have one more haircut left and I am trying to figure out what we should wear....I don't want to be too matchy-matchy and look like dorks....but I am not sure if I want us to all be Dressed up like for church or if I could do a semi-casual, like nice black pants with cute shirts.... I am going shopping today to see if I can find anything that will inspire me!

On Saturday the 19th (The day after our court day) we are going out to dinner to celebrate! Lots of people celebrate this day like a birthday because it is kinda like getting re-born. Once that Gavel goes down it's As if I gave birth to them myself......So our little family of four, my parents, Malachi's parents, and Grandma and Grandpa Inman are all going for sure! I am hoping that some of our siblings and their families will be able to make it (Doranda, Talitha, and Amanda?) However anyone who would like to celebrate with us is officially invited! Please contact me if you would like to come so I can increase the reservation if needed!

Also, We are planning on getting the Children Blessed, so that should be coming up soon.... I will let you know when we are planning on doing it so you can attend if you would like!

6 DAYS LEFT!!!

Halloween is FUN again...

When I was little I thought Halloween was the BEST Holiday ever! I got to dress up and be BEAUTIFUL and walk around and people would GIVE ME candy---What could be better?

However after I got OLD (around 11 or 12) I started to HATE Halloween- Everyone around me seemed to think that Halloween was about disgusting blood and being scary (remember the Candy people?) The older I got the worse I HATED it.... All I herd about was Halloween party's where everyone got drunk and watched a REALLY scary movie. AND I HATE the costumes- people always seemed to be dressed up as a Hookers (slutty witch, slutty doctor...) or have dead body parts or blood oozing out of them- AHHH what ever happened to the fairy princess costume? I would NOT go into Halloween stores, I avoided dressing up and turned off my porch light on Halloween night!I seriously HATED Halloween!

Thankfully this year the FUN was put Back in to HALLOWEEN! With Kids everything is Fun again! We went to the Pumpkin patch, went to a Fall festival, made pumpkin cookies, went to a carnival Halloween party, colored Spooky pictures, wore festive Halloween clothes with Happy pumpkins and silly Ghosts on them, painted pumpkins and went Trunk or Treating...All the things I LOVE about Halloween!
I just love this time of year---I love the harvest, canning, apple cider, carving pumpkins, Candy corn, scarves and hats! I love scare crows and fresh bales of Hay! And I love dressing my kids up as their greatest hero's! She was a Princess (Snow White) and He was Buzz Lightyear (From Toy Story) and they had a BLAST!!! I am So glad Halloween is more than blood and Guts!

Update: Are you counting down with us???We are starting to get excited, Only 17 Days LEFT!!!!!!!!
